  • Kash, I feel your pain. I feel really bad for the students coming to Victoria. Very disorganized, and extremely embarrassing for our community. The whole "dorm" project was an absolute disaster from the word "go". Was there an ounce of thought put into this project before the Univ. went and wasted almost 10 million dollars? From what I was told today, from a reliable source, the dorms are nowhere near finished. I can't believe that UHV would even consider housing freshman on the Houston highway, at the Qulaity Inn? That had to be a misprint. That stretch of town is very suspect at best. I would be fearful for my childs safety. Now with the President being reassigned to this new position in Houston, who knows what's going to happen. Sad, sad situation.

  • Miss--this is the exact kind of disorganization we have been dealing with at UHV for a year and a half. If we knew after the first couple of incidents that it would continue we would have transferred but are too close to graduation to do so now.

  • I'm not sure this is going to work. UHV needs to rethink their position on this: Scenario.....What if I am "Suzie" the freshman student from Austin, TX. I have applied for dorms and have been accepted to start school on August 23rd. Everyone needs to realize that it will be impossible for me to take all my classes at UHV so, like most new UHV Freshman and Sophomore students I have to take 3 of my classes at Victoria College. Victoria College starts class August 23rd. I have to be in class. What does UHV do for almost all of these students, because almost every single student that will be coming from afar has to attend VC as well. Where are you housing me UHV? You recruited me to come to your "destination" University.

  • I have yet to be impressed with UHV, will not be sending another child thru that mess.

  • One Question.

How is it that a, "deteriorating, mold-filled building", can be valued at $4 million dollars by the Victoria Central Appraisal District?
