EDNA - An Edna man remains jailed after he was charged with capital murder following the death of his 5-month-old son.
On July 29, the Edna Police Department and Texas Rangers arrested 21-year-old Christian Blair Robinson.
The Edna Police Department began investigating Robinson for child abuse after his infant son, Camden, was admitted to DeTar North Hospital in Victoria with head and internal injuries on July 14, according to a police news release.
That same day, Camden was transferred via air ambulance from DeTar North to Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi, where he died two days later.
An autopsy performed by the Nueces County Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be "abusive head trauma" and the manner to be a homicide, according to the news release.
Robinson was charged with felony capital murder of an individual under the age of 6.
He was booked into the Jackson County Detention Center where he is being held without bail.
