Receipts: 1,050

Had 99 cows and 14 bulls. Packer and cow market was mainly steady to $2 higher. Overall numbers of cattle coming to market has been slow, giving the market a strong response to those that are showing up. Very good demand for replacement bred cows and pairs of good age. The calf market was $2-$3/cwt overall weaker mainly in the fleshier calves. The 350-400 weight steers were a little higher as were the heavier feeder steers. Not as many calves at market weighing under 350.

Packer bulls: Heavy weights, $70-$78; Lower grades $55-$71; canners, $41-$53; Packer cows: Boning cows, $55-$67; cutters, $50-$63; canners, $35-$47; fats, $52-$58.

Dry cows: $48-$675; palpated cows: Not many $52-$90.

Steer calves (350-400) $125-$151 (400-450) $119-$138 (450-500) $118-$132; (500-600) $104-$126.

Bull calves: (500-600) $104-$126; No. 2 (350-500), $104-$126.

Compared to last week better quality classes of calves sold fully steady on the lighter weights and steady to $2 lower on classes $600 and up. Demand continues to be very good.

Parker cows and bulls sold $1 to $2 higher on approximately 120 HD- total .
