Sarah Jean Nickle of Victoria and Cody Allen Walthall of Inez were married at 4 p.m. on Aug. 7, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Victoria. The Rev. Barney Matocha, Jr. officiated the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Mary Nickle of Victoria. She is the granddaughter of Magdalene Nickle of Yoakum, the late Norman Nickle, Sr., and the late Victor, Sr. and Kathleen Pilzner.

The groom is the son of Steve and Tamy Walthall of Inez. He is the grandson of Bob and Ann Walthall of Inez and Sterling and Betty Griffith of Port Lavaca.

Dagny Natho, friend of the bride, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Megan Gros, friend of the bride, Michelle Mitchell, Debra Bastian, Pamela Trenck, and Julie Franke, sisters of the bride, and Casey Walthall, sister of the groom. Junior bridesmaids were Megan Mitchell and Emily Bastian, nieces of the bride. Ella Bastian, niece of the bride, attended as flower girl.

Hunter Leita, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jonathan Weatherford, Jerad Nethery, Ross Juranek, Nick Rodriguez, Logan Garrison, and John Loest, friends of the groom. Junior groomsman was Garrett Mitchell, nephew of the bride. Justis Trenck, Jacob Mitchell, and Dyllan Trenck, nephews of the bride, served as ring bearers.

Ushers were Jaymes Smith and Ryan Brooks, cousins of the groom.

A reception was held following the ceremony at The Club Westerner in Victoria. Following wedding travel to Colorado, the couple will reside in the Victoria area.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Memorial High School, a 2009 graduate of Victoria College with an associate of science degree, and a May 2011 graduate candidate of the University of Houston - Victoria with a bachelor of business administration in management. She is employed by CVS Pharmacy in Victoria.

The groom is a 2006 graduate of Memorial High School, a 2008 graduate of Victoria College with an associate of science degree, and a December 2010 graduate candidate of the University of Houston - Victoria with a bachelor of science in biology. He is employed by Citizens Medical Center.
