A family of five was held at gunpoint by three masked intruders at about 4 a.m. Monday.
The intruders, thought to be male, busted in the front door of the family's home on San Jacinto Avenue and held them at gunpoint in various portions of the house, Victoria Police Department Detective Zachary Caldwell said.
Caldwell said he preferred not to release details due to the violent nature of the crime, but said adults and children, some of whom were "very young," were in the house.
One of the victims called 911 after the intruders, who were in the house 20 to 30 minutes, left.
Victims reported minor injuries, but were not taken to the hospital, Caldwell said.
No shots were fired inside the house.
Caldwell preferred not to say whether or not the intruders took anything from the home.
He said the family was given a Victim Assistance Information Booklet, which provides resources for victims of violent crimes.
Caldwell is still investigating the case.
