Correction

Aug. 14, 2010 at 3:14 a.m.

The campaign spending report for district attorney candidate Stephen Tyler posted online Saturday was not his. It has since been corrected and his report is now available for viewing by going to www.victoriaadvocate.com and clicking on the story titled "Political spending, contributions scrutinized."

The new Victoria school district dress code requirements for secondary students in grades sixth - 12 grades does not limit students to only polo shirts. They can also wear shirts or blouses that must have a collar, buttons and sleeves. No logos more than a two-inch square in size. Apparel must fit appropriately, be a solid color, no see through fabric allowed. Oxfords, blouses, etc. are acceptable as long as they fit the above standards. The new standardized dress code applies only to secondary students.

Elementary students have a separate dress code, which is the same dress code that was in place last school year for all students.

A story on Page A1, Saturday, Aug. 14, was wrong.
