Second arrest made in early August stabbing death
A second arrest has been made in the case of a Victoria man who was stabbed earlier this month.
Ethan Kole Ender, 20, was arrested on Aug. 18 on a warrant charging him with felony aggravated assault in the stabbing death of 21-year-old William Lance Ponton, said Chief Deputy Terry Simons of the Victoria County Sheriff's Office.
Ponton was stabbed to death on Aug. 3 during an altercation at a house party in the 1500 block of West Beck Road. About 20 people were at the party.
The party was held at the house Ender shared with his brother.
Daulton Jakob Buffum, 20, who was temporarily staying at the home at the time of the incident, was arrested and charged with murder.
Ponton's younger brother, Dustin, identified Ethan Ender as one of the people who held his brother down while he was being stabbed 11 times.
"I'm mad at him," 18-year-old Dustin Ponton said on Friday. "I didn't want him to go without any charges."
The information leading to Ethan Ender's arrest was discovered during the investigative period after the initial arrest of Buffum, said Simons.
Ender is being held on $75,000 bond.
Simons said no one else has been charged in the matter.
Calls to the Ender family on Friday went unreturned.
