  • She was 57, a great woman with a huge heart. She always put others before her, i know it sounds cliche, but it was the truth. She always wanted to feed you or give you coffee when you were over. After grandma passed she needed all of us for support, and it wasn't enough, i wish i couldve given more. After i got from Iraq i visited my aunt because my grandma had passed around mid-tour and my aunt cried with me as if grandma had just died. She cared alot. She would get upset, but we are human. She didn't have a normal adult life as well, never really knew what it was to be in a relationship, she just took care of grandma, always. It was always grandma and tia rosa together. Well, God, as awful as this might sound, it is not my intention, God, thank you for uniting these two angels again, thank you for taking my aunt away from all the suffering she went through. Thank u for her pure heart and her memory of the person she once was. Thank you for taking her away from the the people that abused of her being. I'm broken, and I know she is in a better place, but for my family, I love you guys, and don't be worrying about pointing fingers right now, lets put Rosa to rest and let us deal with the rest after mourning. God Bless You.
    Pardon my grammer.

  • My aunt just got killed and your discussing something that can be seen as disrespect to the family. I understand some people are calus, but come on, some people are mourning. I'm sure if it were one of your family members in that truck you wouldn't be having that discussion. May God gives us peace while we mourn the loss of my aunt Rosa Rodriguez.

  • Sorry, I meant Citizen's Medical Center is a Level III Trauma Center, not Victoria Regional Medical Center.

  • EdithAnn:

Victoria Regional Medical Center is a Level III Trauma Center and Christus Spohn Memorial in Corpus Christi is a Level II Trauma Center. It depends on the injuries as to which Hospital can handle the trauma. It would be better to fly a critically injured patient to a Level II Trauma Center than it would to go to a Level III Trauma Center to be stabilized before being transferred to a higher trauma level facility.

  • Why are we airlifting folks to Corpus? Isn't Citizen's Medical Center a trauma hospital? I thought that was part of the deal that got the helicopter there.
