VISD educator named association's district president
Dionne Loughman, Victoria school district coordinator of assessment and accountability, will serve as District 3 president for the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association. Loughman and her fellow officers from the 20 association districts across the state were installed at the association's July leadership conference.
"District officers play a vital role in communicating TEPSA's mission at the local level. They are committed to supporting and representing members so that Texas PreK-8 students can continue to succeed," said Executive Director Sandi Borden.
Loughman was the association's 2010 District 3 assistant principal of the year.
Since 1917, the association has served Texas principals and supervisors. It has more than 5,800 members. These administrators supervise more than 150,000 teachers who direct the activities of more than 2.4 million pre-kindergarten through eighth grade school children.
