Living Proof Ministries was founded by Beth Moore.

The ladies of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church Living Proof praise team gathered Wednesday afternoon to watch a webcast on an oversized projection screen with international Christian evangelist Beth Moore.

Speaking in real-time via Skype, Moore discussed the details of her upcoming interactive simulcast on Sept. 18, hosted by Our Saviour's 20-person praise team for the third consecutive year.

"People drive long distances to hear Beth Moore speak, that's why we invite area churches of all denominations to this simulcast," Tammy Hartman, Living Proof event chairwoman, said.

The all-day event, which will be from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., aims to connect more than 100,000 Christian women worldwide for an intense fellowship, prayer, and Bible study experience with Moore.

Some 200 of those women are expected to join the simulcast from the Victoria area, praise member Carol Tally said.

"Beth Moore is an awesome speaker and excellent at motivating people to draw closer to God," she said. "This is our third year of hosting this event and we've seen it grow every year."

Tickets to the event are on sale for $25 at the church and the Bible Book store. Ticket prices include entrance to the event, a Beth Moore workbook, lunch, opportunities to win door prizes, complimentary five-minute chair massages, and live entertainment.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Samaritan's Purse, an international relief organization that provides aid to victims of war, poverty, disease and natural disasters.

"We're hoping to exceed our goals from last year. We think God is going to do great things (at the simulcast).

Moore has yet to identify the theme of September's event, but she will likely focus her teaching from Proverbs 31: 26 which states: "She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue."

"(A message like) this is what keeps our hearts ablaze for Jesus Christ," Moore said.

Our Saviour's is the only church in the area hosting the simulcast, and Living Proof praise members encourage men and women of all faiths to attend, especially young women and teens. For more information call the church office 361-575-4305, or Hartman at 361-575-5730.

Our Saviour's is located at 4102 N. Ben Jordan St. in Victoria.
