One person was killed and three others injured in a one-vehicle crash in south Victoria at 2:09 a.m. Friday.
Roger Hempel with Victoria Fire Department said when firefighters arrived on the scene at 102 Henderson Road, they found a small passenger car.
It appeared to have left the road and struck a utility pole, coming to rest on top of a fire hydrant.
Three people were taken by ambulance to Citizens Medical Center and a fourth was pronounced dead on the scene, he said.
Sgt. Jason Turner with the Victoria Police Department said the vehicle appeared to be a silver four-door Honda Acura. He said it was traveling south on Delmar Drive when it approached the curve at Henderson and went off the road.
More details will be posted as they become available.
