  • The ball of reduced tax revenue is just starting to roll....expect continued news from the bureacracy about the unfariness of the taxpayers depriving them of their continued growth and spending.

Victoria County, now VC and UHV. The city will follow, then the big bomb will be VISD at the local level.

At least our State leaders appear to be "facing the music" and passing the "bad" news along early.....more to come.

  • I would think that if it is over 1%; that is still too much. JMO

  • Barry,

Could you provide figures that show exactly how much illegal immigrants cost the state of Texas as a percentage of the annual budget?

    Thanks

  • It's sad that our state is inundated with illegal immigrants that cost us immensely, yet rather than fully address that issue, the State must resort to cutting funding to colleges. Seems a bit like cutting your throat to end hunger pains.

  • Hopefully, the 10-25% budget cut will not effect growth of UHV new campus at the Victoria airport including the new street build out.
How about an interview with the Victoria leaders?
