Oceans For Emotions: Judge not, that ye be not judged
By Elaine Wheat
Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, ye shall be judged.
- Matthew 7:1
I'm not judging, or maybe I am, but it is really hard for me to believe that on "Black Friday," that just for the love, excitement and thrill of shopping, some people did really silly things, in my estimation.
Some of the Christmas shoppers shopped all night. Many waited in the dark for the businesses to open, so that they could be the first ones in. They stood in long, cold lines comparing prices and coupons with each other. Each one was looking for the best deal, the biggest bargain to brag about or to see who reached their shopping limits first.
I truly pity those people who have to be controlled by what they can get and not for what they have.
Oh, wow, I just realized that if they were bad, that I was just as bad as they were.
I bet some shoppers think that I am weird because I think it is fine to fish all night or get up when it is still dark, drive down to the beach, so my bait could be the first one in the water. I've waited in long lines and hot and cold lines for the ferry boat to Port Aransas, and I have stood outside Woody's Bait Stand waiting for it to open. We fisher people would compare best bait, tackle and boats and could hardly wait to see who would get the biggest limits first.
Poor, pitiful me.

Dear Lord, You were really right about that judgment stuff, and so that You would forgive me for being judgmental, I wrote You this little poem:
Little people now and then,
Hating sinners, loving sin;
Dotting I's and crossing T's,
My, God, I think I'm one of these!
