A limited number of donated coats and blankets are available for qualifying families, but those in need should act quickly.

"Come by KIDZ Connection or check with the parent liaison on your child's campus," said Mary Post, KIDZ Connection teacher liaison. "We only have two days left before the holidays, so if you are in need, now is the time to act."

Following the Christmas break, KIDZ Connection will again distribute blankets and coats.

Donation barrels continue to be available at several locations in Victoria.

"There has been an increase in both homeless families and in the financial needy coming in for help," Post said. "We still need both coats and blankets. We could especially use solid color, zip up hoodies for the older children."

More than 175 blankets and 200 coats have been distributed so far during the 17th annual "Wrap a Child in Warmth" campaign conducted by Coldwell Banker The Ron Brown Company in cooperation with Triangle Cleaners and KIDZ Connection.

KIDZ Connection is at 1408 Melrose Ave., Building III.
