One transported after Friday Night wreck

A truck gets loaded onto a flatbed after it was involved in a wreck Friday near U.S. Highway 59 and U.S. Highway 77 with a Ford Mustang.

One person was transported after a wreck on Friday evening near the junction of U.S. Highway 59 and U.S. 77.

A gold 1999 Ford F-350 was traveling southbound on U.S. 59 when a white 2009 Ford Mustang traveling northbound on U.S. 59 turned left onto a service road for U.S. 77, colliding with the truck.

The collision left the truck wedged on top of the Mustang.

Walter Koricanek, the driver of the truck was uninjured. The driver of the Mustang was transported to DeTar Hospital, and has not yet been identified, Department of Public Safety Trooper Joe Schuler said. As of Friday night, no citations had been issued.
