Thumbs-up, thumbs-down; it's your choice
Thumbs-up to members of Calhoun, Jackson and Victoria counties' law enforcement who took part in the Tree of Angels for families of violent crime victims. What an awesome sight to see them pick up the little children so they could hang their angel ornament on the tree.
Mary Sue, Port Lavaca
Thumbs-down on fire ants with a higher IQ than mine. I normally pour gasoline on a mound, and it's instant kill. Then I spread the dirt and water it so the gas won't kill too much grass. But this time, the ants built their mound at the trunk of my peach tree. They KNEW I couldn't use gasoline there, for it would kill the tree, too.
