It's Christmas in Texas, and what better way to celebrate than going to see a comedy about Christmas in Texas?

The Majestic Theatre in San Antonio will have an evening performance of the hit stage comedy "A Tuna Christmas" on Christmas night, as well as another performance on Dec. 26.

Starring the Tony Award-nominated writing-acting duo, Joe Sears and Jaston Williams, "A Tuna Christmas" is the sequel to the comedy "Greater Tuna," according to the Majestic website. Sears and Williams portray all 24 characters of Tuna, "the third smallest town in Texas, where the Lion's Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies."

It's the night before Christmas, and chaos is breaking out all over town as the residents deal with seasonal issues such as a disastrous production of "A Christmas Carol" by the small local theater and a yard-decorating contest that keeps getting sabotaged, according to the website.

"There's plenty to ho-ho-ho about. 'A Tuna Christmas' is a delightful gift for longtime Tuna fans and newcomers alike," a Dallas Morning News review stated.

Now known as Texas comedy legends, Sears and Williams debuted the first in their Tuna series in 1981 in Austin with "Greater Tuna." By 1994, "A Tuna Christmas" took Broadway by storm, according to the official website for the series, www.greatertuna.com. The Tuna Trilogy was completed when Williams, Sears and the third series creator, Ed Howard, wrote "Red, White and Tuna."

Tickets to the show start at $35 and are available by calling 1-800-745-3000. For more information, go to http://majesticempire.com.
