  • Shinethelight...you are woefully misinformed about the Obama administrations views on the constitution in general and gun rights in particular. You should check your facts before posting. Relying on old spam emails and NRA ads does not count as 'fact checking'.

  • Shinethelight.

The Obama Administration is not some big bad boogieman wanting to enslave you. Sorry, but that boat sail long ago. Second the Administration has nothing to do with this topic. Senator Hagar would rather waste the taxpayer’s time and money on the 2nd Amendment rather concerning himself over education. Water, and local corruption. Finally, as a gun owner myself, let me say this. The HECK with the NRA!!!!!!!!!

  • Defending our 2nd Amendment freedoms is neither a waste of time or taxpayer dollars. That is why Senator Hegar was elected. As the Obama Administration continues to try to dismantle our constitution, especially the 2nd Amendment, it is incumbent upon our state legislatures to enact safeguards that protect our right to keep and bear arms. Senator Hegar has been steadfast in his defense of our 2nd Amendment freedoms and has been honored by both the Naional and Texas State Rifle Associations for his efforts. Thank God that we have an influential and truely conseravtive lawmaker like Hegar representing Victoria in the Texas Senate.

Thank you. Will, I also notice code words in this statement. "Looking at it from a local perspective, the population gain could dilute our rural influence because the newcomers are settling mostly in the 10 largest counties in the state".

  • He wants to propose legislation on the second amendment rights?
Does this guy know he is a STATE legislator? What a waste of time and taxpayer money!
