DOWN SYNDROME LEAGUE OF VICTORIA

The Down Syndrome League of Victoria is all about support.

The organization focuses on providing family support and education, building a strong community of families with Down syndrome and educating the community about Down syndrome.

This support is extended to families with Down syndrome children of all ages, as well as new parents who need the right resources early.

HISTORY: Founded locally in 2009

AREAS SERVED: Victoria and surrounding counties

NUMBER OF PEOPLE SERVED ANNUALLY: About 50 directly, 250 indirectly.

GREATEST NEEDS: Donations for resource materials and support agencies to bring in guest speakers for support group meetings.

FUNDING: Annual Buddy Walk in October.
