  • If it is "hertiage tourism" Mr. Dunnam is trying to attract to Victoria, I might suggest he promote something that is proven, the Galvez Trail. Named after Bernardo de Gálvez of Spain.

Although the Galvez Trail was c.1779 and the El Camino Real de los Tejas was 1726-1749. The Galvez Trail is one of great importance during the American Revolution. It has allowed many people of Spanish descent to join the Daughters/Sons/Children of the American Revolution and Daughters/Sons of the Republic of Texas.

Did I mention, the Galvez Trail went right through Victoria up to Nacogdoches, Texas. Many people in Victoria and surrounding areas participated on the cattle drive.

Again, what is purpose of the VCHD??
Oh that’s right and I quote, “but Dunnam said it takes an act of Congress to change the map. He said he also learned it might take a separate study, which comes with a $1 million price tag.”

VCHD is a waste of County tax payers money.
