  • Ya know, nuclear is a no brainier, a large solar array produces about 9100KW at peak output, 12 hours sun a day and enough batteries to store it. The largest wind turbine produces about 6MW at peak capacity, sustained winds between 14 and 31 mph, again with batteries to store it.

A single nuclear reactor produces 1600 MW.

  • House levelers do a lot of business locally. The simple process involved would be upgraded to take into account such an important structure. The benefit to Victoria is obvious. There are risks as well. Deal with them. It's time to catch up with modern tech in this area...and, we have the option to increase our leadership. My voice is on increasing our energy production (solar, wind & nuclear), our recycling techniques, our educational system, public transportation and the means of public information. We should be acting in the best interest of our grandchildren...not ourselves.

  • Your second paragraph is correct,(nothing should ever have been built in the region.) That is very true about a NUKE PLANT COOLING POND. House levelers do a big business here in the city because of shifting foundations.
