In addition to showcasing state representatives and local candidates, GOP organizers hope to draw attendees to a party forum on Monday by calling for civic action.
Considering a growing interest in national and local politics, Susan Neumann said she expects 200 people to attend Monday's Victoria County Republican Primary Candidate Forum.
"We're really trying to tap into that so that you do feel like you are being heard because a lot of us feel like that is not the case at all in Washington," Neumann, president of Victoria County Republican Women, said.
The forum allows local, state and federal candidates to introduce themselves to the community, she said.
Among those to attend are state Sen. Glen Hegar, state Rep. Geanie Morrison, Tina Benkiser, campaign manager for Gov. Rick Perry, and all local candidates.
The Victoria County Republican Women and Victoria County Young Republicans will promote civic participation at the forum, Neumann said.
"I think our theme is we all have to be involved to get involved, register and vote at the primary level," she said.
The event is dually organized by the Victoria County Republican Women and Victoria County Young Republicans.
Seating is limited. Neumann encourages people who want to attend to RSVP by Sunday.

Dinner will be served at the forum, which is why there is a $10 charge.
