Haili Brinae Zwiercan of La Porte, and Michael Allen Pue of Katy, were united in marriage on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at seven o'clock in the evening at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Galveston, Texas. Monsignor Jim Janish of San Antonio, Texas officiated the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Joe and Sarah Zwiercan of La Porte, Texas. She is the granddaughter of the late King and Lillian Hager of Victoria, Texas.

The groom is the son of Arthur and Nancy Pue of Atascosa, Texas. He is the grandson of Joseph and Laurine Van Hecke of Atascosa, Texas and the late Arthur and Verda Pue of San Antonio, Texas.

Given in marriage by her parents, and escorted by her father, the bride carried an antique brooch belonging to her late maternal grandmother.

Mallary Zwiercan, sister of the bride, attended as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Katie McEnery of Southlake, Texas, Ashley Veeder of Pilot Point, Texas, Megan Adcock, cousin of the bride, of Victoria, Texas, Michelle De Busk of La Porte, Texas, Mandie Gordon of La Porte, Texas, Kimberly Dyess of Pearland, Texas, and Candice Stoker of College Station, Texas.

Kaelynn McComack and Mikayla Wallace, attended as flower girls. Caden Adcock, cousin of the bride, attended as ring bearer.

Daniel Pue, brother of the groom, attended as Best Man. Groomsmen were Emiliano Canales of Cambridge, England, Wayne Womack of Denver, Colorado, Corley Walters of Houston, Texas, Jacob Bennett of Dallas, Texas, John Ortega of San Antonio, Texas, Justin Sullivan, cousin of the groom, of San Antonio, Texas, and Bill Shi of Houston, Texas.

Serving as Ushers were long time friends of the bride, Jordan Davis of Guam, Cody Davis of La Porte, Texas, and Jarred Lozano of San Marcos, Texas.

Michelle Van Hecke and Amber Van Hecke, cousins of the groom, both of San Antonio, Texas, honored the bride and groom with special readings.

The wedding ceremony music was provided by the Divisi Strings Quartet. Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted the reception at the historical 1880 Garten Verein in Galveston, Texas.

On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Fish Tales on the Galveston Seawall. The bridesmaids luncheon was hosted by the mother of the bride at the Hotel Galvez.

The bride is a graduate of La Porte High School and is a graduate of Texas A&M University at College Station with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism.

The groom is a Salutatorian graduate of Southwest High School in San Antonio, Texas and a graduate of Texas A&M University at College Station with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Business Finance.

Following wedding travel to Athens, Greece, and a tour of the Greek Islands, the couple resides in Houston, Texas.
