The Scott Taylor Band has just finished its first album "ONE," and to celebrate, the band will be holding a CD release party Saturday at Schroeder Dance Hall.

Members of the band include Scott Taylor, Billy Jo High on lead guitar, formerly of Rhythm of the Road and The Jarrod Birmingham Band, Steve Carson on lead guitar, formerly of the Emotions, Sammy Zamora on drums, formerly of the Emotions, and David Stockton on bass guitar, formerly of Highspeed Hayride.

"I have been playing the Crossroads area for years with bands Rhythm of the Road and the Emotions, before moving to Houston and playing with Bandlandz. I have finally put together a band made up of my good friends and great musicians I have met and played with over the years," Taylor said. "We are all very focused on chasing our dreams of traveling the world making great music and fans."

The show begins at 9 p.m. with an opening performance by David Grace, of Houston. Special guest Wade Stockton will also be on hand that night to jam with the band, Taylor said.

"I'm very excited to be having our CD release party at my very own hometown dance hall, Schroeder Hall," he added.

Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets are $8 at the door. All ages welcome.
