A man ran a stop sign at the intersection of East Crestwood Drive and North Ben Jordan Street, causing a two-car collision about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.

The 82-year-old Victoria man was westbound on East Crestwood Drive when he failed to stop his Cadillac at the four-way stop sign, according to Senior Patrol Officer John Luna of the Victoria Police Department.

The Cadillac driver struck a Ford Escort driven by a 43-year-old Victoria man who had stopped at the intersection and continued travelling northbound on North Ben Jordan Street.

Both drivers and a 44-year-old Victoria man in the Escort wore seatbelts. Police reported no injuries.

No citations were issued because the wreck is still under investigation, said Luna, who declined to share the motorists' names.
