I'll take my chances with organic farming methods over the known health effects of insecticides and known & yet unknown health effects of eating GMOs for decades. I don't think perceived inefficiencies in organic farming justify eating GMO foods with synthetic pesticides that the body is ill-equipped to process. (The poor gas mileage of any car doesn't justify driving a Pinto.) I trust the natural methods of food growth over the corporatist motives of Monsanto.
Now, that's not to say I agree with the bastardization of organic certifications driven by Big Ag and Big Govt. I'll take the word of a local farmer over a greasy government seal of approval.

I am not big on Organic foods, organic foods means manure fertilizers. These fertilizers can lead to parasites and bacteria in the food products. We have seen the problem associated with them as it relates to lettuce. The manure still has to break down into chemicals the plants can use, the chemicals concentrations vary within crops and produce uneven crop production, so I see no advantage of organic fertilizers.

Without chemical pesticides the world populations would be reduced in only a few years, because of crop losses.
