    Service times: Sundays: Bible Life (small group Bible study) for youth and adults and Worship KidStyle for children at 9:45 a.m.; Morning worship is at 11 a.m.; Coffee happy hour at 6:30 p.m.; Wednesdays, Bible study and prayer at 6:30 p.m.

Please give a brief history of the church.

Calvary Baptist was formed in 1950.

What are your activities throughout the week?

We have a lunch/brunch Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a time of fellowship and activities, such as quilting, making diaper cakes and other activities, for the women. There are projects around the church for the men, followed by a pot-luck lunch.

There is Team Kids (Kids in Discipleship) for children first through sixth grade from 4:45 to 6:15 p.m. on Sundays during the school year.

Are you working on any projects? If so, describe them.

We will have a youth-led revival Aug. 2-6.

How are you involved with the community?

A: We minister to children in the community through our Easter egg hunt in the spring, vacation Bible school in the summer and the fall festival.

We host Light House 29:11 at our church, which is a youth first-time offenders class through the probation department.

We minister to new mothers in the area with our diaper cake ministry.

We minister to the school teachers several times a year with snack baskets

We also offer parenting classes, grieving classes and Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.

Who are your leaders?

Our pastor is Bill Gleason. Our music leaders are Don Clawson and Jim Parker.

If I'm new to the community, what sets the church apart from others in the area?

We are set apart by the love we have for one another. Calvary Baptist is a very loving church. Those who come are welcomed warmly. All are welcome in God's house.

Is there anything else you'd like to share about the church?

We have a nursery available for children up to 3-years-old during Bible Life, worship service and coffee happy hour.
