  • holein1,

I don't think FedEx and Gemco are in the LTBP. The park is on the north side of Lone Tree, according to the VEDC's map: www.victoriaedc.org/images/lonetreein...

  • Isn't FedEx working out of the Lone Tree Business Park?

  • Dale, thank you for explaining about VEDC. The BEST thing is NOT to increase taxes OR values. The BEST thing to do is for government to DECREASE spending. This is the BEST way to attract new free enterprises aka businesses.

  • Dale, you also forgot to mention than there is one other way to increase the tax base. You can raise the property assessments like Victoria has done for the past 4 years. My home is assessed at 100% of it's value, Thanks a lot Dale taxer and VEDC. The residents that live off of John Stockbauer just love paying higher taxes. while the the homes in Country Club are assessed at 60% of their value.

  • But what of the business park on the north side of Lone Tree Road between Loop 463 and John Stockbauer which to this day remains empty? Lots of loot spent to build it up for it to remain without any tenants and what entity pays taxes on it? The taxpayers in this town may want to know.
