Cuero shooting suspects turn themselves in

CUERO - The two men sought in connection with Wednesday night's shooting of two Cuero brothers have turned themselves in.
About 1 a.m. Saturday, Broderick Jackson and Shakeal Mayfield, both 18 of Cuero, surrendered themselves at the DeWitt County Sheriff's Office.
They are charged with attempted murder, child endangerment, deadly conduct and engaging in organized criminal activity.
On Wednesday night, brothers Eugene Gamez and Hector Gamez were shot and wounded in the driveway of their father's home.
Jackson and Mayfield are in the Dewitt County Jail on a $570,000 bond each. The case is under investigation by the Cuero Police Department.
