Sarah Diane Dempsey and Robert James Janecka were married at 3 p.m. on June 26, 2010, at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Rev. Greg Korenek celebrated the nuptial Mass and officiated the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Gail Dempsey of Keller. She is the granddaughter of Danny and Lil Urbanovsky of West, Betsy Dempsey of Floydada and the late Dennis Dempsey.

The groom is the son of Russell and Gail Janecka of Victoria. He is the grandson of Gaylan and Ella Marie Duncan of Victoria, and Raymond and Esterleen Spann of Victoria and the late Maynard Janecka.

Emily Meinen, friend of the bride, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Denise Mayen, sister of the bride, Lisa Dempsey, sister of the bride, Julie Janecka, sister of the groom, Megan Joy, cousin of the groom, and Cristina Wallace, friend of the bride. Claire Milner and Courtney Janecka, cousins of the groom, attended as flower girls.

Kevin Janecka, brother of the groom, and Mark Martyn, friend of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen were Cheng Lee, Michael Seeligson, Andy Figuerola, and Anthony Trojan, all friends of the groom. Jack Milner, cousin of the groom, and Elijah Thayer, cousin of the bride, served as ring bearers. Ushers were Will Joseph, cousin of the groom, and Kevin Urbanovsky, cousin of the bride.

During the Mass, scriptures and responsorial prayers were read by parents of the couple. Mary Joy, aunt and godmother of the groom, and Diane Nicely, aunt and godmother of the bride, served as offertory gift bearers.

A reception was held following the ceremony at The Victoria Country Club. Hannah Meinen and Jennifer Nicely served in the house party. Following a cruise to the Mexican Riviera, the couple will reside in Austin.

The bride is a 2009 graduate of the George Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University in College Station with a master of public service and administration. For the past year, she has worked for a disaster recovery non-profit in New Orleans.

The groom is a 2009 graduate of the George Bush School of Government & Public Service at Texas A&M University in College Station with a master of international affairs. He has worked as a special education teacher for Jefferson Parish Public School System in Louisiana.
