  • They need to work on the Airline customer service - by replacing the Station Manager! The customer service is bad. I've decided not to fly out of Victoria anymore due to this.

  • I agree - a waste of money!

50K from the Victoria County taxpayers isn't much to give a private business. Do it right and pass a debt bond for 10-20 million and see a boom like never seen in this area before and give all some of that money.
Paint, bathrooms, and cubicles won't do the county much good.
If any businessmen come to VCT, they may be intelligent and see beyond the FBO facilities. If they arrive on multi-million dollar private aircraft and make salaries in the high six figures, guess what, paint won't help.

If the Commissioners will take a little time and reconsider spending 50k versus what is needed at the most basic level of human living like food and housing, I suggest they take a taxpayer vehicle and fill it with taxpayer funded gas and drive around the county and look at the substandard housing and the kids poverty rate which is at 40% per household in the County and an unemployment rate over 10% (U6).
But the thing is, there are so many ways for the City/County to save money, big money. Ever wonder why their answer is to penalize the taxpayer? Penalize our citizens by reducing the mowing cycle, cut teachers and police, cut garbage pickup, give big raises to the City Manager to keep him and yet he still quits, have big dollar sidewalks downtown, and big water bills for all the homeowners, or dead-end a street in Woodway or extend Airline street to VCT which would parrell a seven lane highway(with a middle suicide turn lane) and give the local FBO 100K taxpayer funds for a remodeling job. That is food taken from the local families mouths.

The parents will take over in November.
