Invista announces new site manager
Steve Harvill was named site manager for Invista's Victoria site, the company announced Wednesday.
Harvill, who worked as operations vice president of Invista's intermediates business, has more than 30 years of operations experience with Invista.
He has worked at sites including Wichita, Kan., Spartanburg, S.C. and Wilmington, Del.
The Victoria site is critical to Invista's overall success and Harvill's experience and knowledge is expected to add to that success, Dave Dotson, the company's senior vice president of Invista Operations, said.
"Steve brings to the table an extensive background in operations excellence and leadership that will continue to drive the Victoria site's competitive position and focus on compliance and environmental excellence," he said.
Harvill replaces Darwin Koepp, a 35-year Invista veteran who became site manager in 2007. Koepp, who worked at the local plant for 19 years, is retiring.
Under Koepp's leadership, the plant continued to define and strengthen its position as a premier manufacturing facility, Dotson said.
"Darwin's personal commitment to Invista's market-based management philosophies and guiding principles, along with his relentless focus on integrity, environmental excellence and compliance are a testament to the caliber of leader Darwin represents," Dotson said.
Koepp said he enjoyed his time with the company.
"While I am looking forward to spending more time with my family," he said, "I will miss the many outstanding individuals who work at the site and whom I have come to know and greatly respect."
