Vangie Kolesar recently was named the June Employee of the Month at the University of Houston-Victoria. Kolesar is the PeopleSoft training coordinator in the finance office and has worked at the university since 2000. She received a framed certificate and a $50 gift card.

Chris Bludau and Karen Charbula of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Victoria recently received the firm's Client Service Excellence Award.

Michael Cloud, founder of Victoria-based video production company Bright Idea Media, recently won an Outstanding Service Award from the Texas Crime Prevention Association for a series of public service announcements he produced in cooperation with the Victoria Police Department. The local law enforcement agency nominated him for the award.

Kevin Myers recently became the facilities director at the University of Houston-Victoria, which oversees UHV's Facilities Services Department.
