• Not end of story. What you don't know is that 18-21 year olds make up some of the best soldiers that the military has. They are willing to learn, can take the high physical demands that the military requires, and are generally more respesctful of the higher ranking soldiers. There is no correlation between age and hitting an IED. And its not called exploitation, it's called service. get a clue. . .

    The way to begin to address this issue is to raise the age of enlistment from 17 to 21 and above.
    At age 17-18 a person is still considered a minor in most states.
    When the military sends an 18-19 year old to a combat zone it
    is really no different than sending someone younger.
    At age 21 a person is wiser and less likely to allow someone
    or government entity to exploit them.
    End of story.
