Man's body found along state Highway 35 early Monday morning

PORT LAVACA - At 4:21 a.m. Monday, people driving by saw body laying in the 3200 block on state Highway 35, south of Port Lavaca, near Chocolate Bayou Bridge.
The body recovered was a man, believed to be in his 30s, of Hispanic descent.
"Indications are that he is a Mexican citizen," Police Chief John Stewart said.
Cause of death is unknown pending an autopsy.
The name of the man has not been released, pending notification of the family. They believe most of the family is in Mexico. Law enforcement officials are working with Immigrations and Border Control to notify the family.
Stewart said there were no signs of foul play.
"We're thinking maybe he was dumped from the vehicle," he said.
