Man flown to Corpus Christi hospital after two-vehicle wreck

One man was flown to a Corpus Christi hospital after being injured in a Tuesday afternoon wreck on state Highway 185 near U.S. 59.
The man was traveling north on Highway 185 in his white one-ton pickup when he rear-ended an 18-wheeler carrying gravel, a Department of Public Safety trooper said.
Traffic was backed up for more than 30 minutes because of the wreck.
The pickup driver had to be cut out of the vehicle.
The injured man's identity was not known as of Tuesday afternoon.
He was flown via Citizens Air Medical to a Corpus Christi hospital.
The extent of his injuries and the hospital he was taken to were also unknown.
The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
