First job: I worked in a San Antonio hospital as what they lovingly called the "mail female." I delivered mail between the different buildings.

What it taught me: I learned the importance of timeliness, listening to people and being friendly. That job was also where I began my ongoing struggle with organization. Those lessons help with every aspect of life, from my position as a social worker to politician and even being a mom.
