Laureate Alpha Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi hear program on the $1 bill; install officers

Laureate Alpha Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met recently in the home of Frances Smith.
Marilyn Logan and Susana Moya co-hosted.
Tootsie Cisneros presented the program on the United States $1 bill. The bill came off the presses in 1957 in its present design.
She explained all the various symbols depicted on both sides of the dollar.
A thank you note was read from the president Louise Pletcher, who was honored at the recent Founder's Day Banquet as Chapter Woman of the Year. Allison Cole of Xi Psi Tau was also honored at the event.
Pletcher gave charms to the executive board and gifts to all chapter members.
Dorothy Rohrig installed new officers: president, Loretta Johnson; vice president, Mary Helen Goldsmith; recording secretary, Anne Roddy; corresponding secretary, Tootsie Cisneros; extension officer, Vickie Kowalik; city council representative, Frances Smith; alternate, Delores Karpar; parliamentarian, Louise Pletcher.
The incoming president distributed committee sheets and asked members to sign up for program and hostess responsibilities. The final business meeting was May 18 at Pletcher's home. The End of the Year Party was at 6:30 p.m. May 22 at Moya's home.
