The Victoria Police Department needs help locating two women involved in an October theft at Walmart.

Following up on a tip provided by a Victoria Advocate letter to the editor this past weekend, VPD is investigating what appears to be a planned theft in Walmart's vestibule on Oct. 17 about 6:20 p.m.

Walmart surveillance footage showed a female with a child distracting the victim, while another female grabbed the wallet from the victim's basket and hastily exited the store, according to a media release.

Anyone with information regarding his crime is asked to call the 24-hour Victoria Crime Stoppers tip line at (361) 572-4200.
