City to temporarily close DeLeon Street

FROM NEWS RELEASEThe city of Victoria will reduce DeLeon Street to one-lane northbound between Juan Linn and Santa Rosa streets on Wednesday to install water lines. Construction is expected to take about one week, weather permitting.

All businesses and parking lots in the work zone will remain accessible via alternate routes.

The city and contractor are working to reduce public inconvenience; however, drivers may experience delays in this area. Alternate routes are suggested when possible.

This construction is part of the $2 million Downtown Water and Sewer Line Replacements (Phase I, Projects 3 & 4). This phase is estimated to be complete in seven months. The contractor performing the work is SER Construction Partners of Pasadena.
