Regardless, of past actions, it is my greatest belief in human beings capacity, to do what is right.
In this, I may be a fool, because I will always have hope that people will sincerely do what is right, given the opportunity and ability to do so.

In any government budget there is always something that can be eliminated, waste and pet projects abound. I do aplaud the council to at least be working on what seems to be a reasonable approach, maintaining or surprise, even lowering the rates. The reality is that if this fine ecomomy continues its downward spiral the local governing bodies all will have to come to terms with more cuts and even layoffs.

Councilman Hagan has been very quiet for some time. Don't know what he is up to, but I am perplexed by the meek demeanor.
And, do we have the Mayor's big announcement, as promised?

I am astonished that financial genius David Hagen had absolutely nothing to say about the "respectable job of being extremely conservative" by city staff. Why isn't he bleating about how he is doing more with less? Or is that just election-time blah blah?

You only hear about Windwehen when it's raise time. I think he needs to spend a day in the life of the street crew with the heat they tolerate, the police with the shift work and the fire dept. risking their lives. Maybe even go drive a garbage truck. One word though, greed!

$16,500 on the transit budget is not huge, but any idea just how that will affect the routes, if at all?
