HOPE - Hope 4-H students averaged about $150 more per project in 2010 than in 2009.
Total sales were down because fewer animals were exhibited, said LeAnn Migl of the Hope Livestock Association.
The 2010 show brought in $45,137.96 compared to $59,900 in 2009.
Kory Smith led the way with the grand champion hog selling for $4,526.66 to Ryan Services with add-ons from Measurement Services, Henke & Janak Hog Farm, Bohuslav's Farm & Ranch, Jason and Tracee Collins, Ken Smith Consultants, Pro-Field Services, Ken and Glenda Smith, and Frontier Development - Rusty Wallace.
Cody Fowlkes' reserve champion hog was sold for $3,076.66 to the Oilfield Gang of Brunner Consulting, Measurement Services, Exterran Gas Compressors, Champion Technology, Basic Energy-Premont, I.P.S., Milamore Trucking, RSI Chemicals, Liberty Swabbing, Crimson Exploration, Glaze Backhoe Services, Wood Group Slickline Services, USA Compression, D.S. Construction, J.T. Swabbing, Roywell Services, Slick Operating Services, Black Gold Services, Basic Energy-Zapata, Pat Jessup, J&J Pipe and Supply, Ermis Vacuum & Pump Truck Services, Hoffer Auto Care, El Campo Production Services, Hayden Lease Service, Cole Stevens, Pioneer Well Service, Suwanee Supply, Inc., Supreme Production Services, and Terry Brandl Welding Service with add-ons from Morton's Drive-In, Chromcak Insurance., Hrncir Oil, Henke & Janak Hog Farm, Bohuslav's Farm & Ranch, Frontier Development - Rusty Wallace and Chandler Drilling.

Taylor Akenhead sold the reserve champion lamb for $1,485 to the Ezzell Wild Bunch comprised of Schmidt Electric, Charlie and Valeree Pearson, Diane Pearson, Johnny and Kim Fowlkes, Donnie and LeAnn Migl, Shorty and Liz Hester, Mark and Becky Wick, and Michael and Janice Jares with add-ons from Roger and Diane Bishop, Frontier Development - Rusty Wallace and the Oilfield Gang.
The pen of grand champion rabbits was sold by Emilie Brandes for $1,610 to Ryan Services with add-ons from Mike and Merta Withrow, Hobo Farms - Dwayne Kelley, Kaitlyn and Ryan Brandes, Friedel Drilling, 1st State Bank of Yoakum, Yoakum Grain, Dennis and Shirley Kocian, Mojo Ranch - Desiree and Kevin Moore, Lavaca County Propane and Dr. Sandra Bergey.
Christian Bertoni's reserve champion pen of rabbits sold for $1,550 to the Hope Combined Buyers Group made up of the Cuero Livestock Commission, Ronnie Harless, Dennis and Shirley Kocian, GVEC, James and Nancy Loos, Kocian Auto Repair, Mike and Betty Ezzell, Hermes and Steffek Fertilizer, Hochheim Prairie Insurance- Branch 100, Homer and Betty Berger, Midco Supply Co., Ronnie and Mary Leck, Yoakum National Bank, Dorothy Lenertz, and Sherry T.
