Two people were injured in a Thursday evening wreck at the intersection of Saddlebrook Drive and Clydesdale Lane.
Victoria Police Officer Eddie Stevens said around 6:34 p.m. a woman driving a blue Chevrolet Cavalier was traveling south on Saddlebrook Drive when she collided with a motorcycle traveling on Clydesdale Lane.
The motorcycle was carrying two passengers, a man and a woman.
Both motorcyclists were taken to Citizens Medical Center. The extent of their injuries were unknown.
Stevens said the driver of the Cavalier appeared to be unharmed.
The identities of those involved were not available.
The collision remained under investigation Thursday night.

For those who asked - both riders are doing well. A broken bone, some sprains, etc. Yeojj has it correct...we all get lax in our own neighborhood and need to pay more attention. Hopefully the young lady has learned the stop sign has a purpose and is not optional. Drivers make mistakes; luckily this one had a relatively good ending.
Before making accusations such as "complaints have been FILED..." it would be best to check the accuracy of such statements. A check of public records will quickly show that no complaints have been filed with law enforcement authorities against this driver. Motorcycles do indeed speed through this neighborhood on a daily basis, mostly of a crotch-rocket type, with younger drivers. There are significant numbers of children in the neighborhood as to make such activity extremely dangerous and the driver of this motorcycle has too much at stake to do such a thing as speeding through the streets.
I continue to find it unbelievable, not just in these comments, but on MANY comments, how heresay becomes fact so easily.
March 27, 2010 at 12:08 p.m.JohnW - My bad. I guess I heard him wrong. I was a little shaken up myself. This could have gone down so much worse. WaltKim207 - The girl driving the car may not have been given a ticket, but she sure as heck should have been!
March 23, 2010 at 8:49 a.m.How are the two injured people doing? I hope that they are doing ok?
March 20, 2010 at 5:02 p.m.Why does everyone automatically assume that the woman was at fault and not the police officer? There has been complaints filed by his neighbors for him speeding around the block. The woman was not cited for any charges.
March 20, 2010 at 5:01 p.m.I think sometimes in our own neighborhoods we become lax about stopping completely at stop signs, not saying this is what happened, but I am guilty of that myself. We get too comfy in our own little environmnent.
March 20, 2010 at 12:28 p.m.Please watch out for the motorcyclist, their lives may depend on it.
March 20, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.the little girl should have been paying more attention - we all need to pay more attention when we drive!
March 20, 2010 at 8:27 a.m.former police officer
March 20, 2010 at 8:26 a.m.One of the people who live near where the wreck occurred said it was a police officer that was on the motorcycle. Can the V.A. verify this?
