On Monday evening, police investigated a third shooting that happened Monday afternoon.
Officer Mike Tatum said around 4 p.m. five shots were fired at a house on the corner of Taylor Avenue and Garrett Street.
No shell casings or bullet holes were found at the scene. Officers were still searching for a suspect, who was last seen driving a black Grand Prix, they said.
A suspect was arrested in one of the drive-by shootings that happened Monday morning at 3608 Allendale St.
Officer Mike Tatum said police arrested 38-year-old Lawrence Brown, of Victoria, on Monday evening. Brown was arrested in the 200 block of Barber Street.
Officers responded to a 911 call of multiple shots fired around 5:30 a.m., according to a statement released by the police department.
When officers arrived on the scene, they located a home hit with eight bullets - several of which went inside the house.
Multiple people were inside the rental property at the time of the shooting. No one was injured, Tatum said.
A second drive-by shooting occurred at the same property only hours later. At 9 a.m., bullets were again fired into the rental property.
Brown was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the second shooting. He remains only a suspect in the first shooting.
The shootings are still under investigation.
