When did we reach the point where Americans couldn't take of themselves or make their own decisions?

I guess people won't agree with me either. The health dept. has to be involved. How else will the general public know that food standards are being met?

I'm not speaking against this particular establishment, because I have not eaten there, but I do remember a certain restaurant in El Campo that got shut down for serving things they shouldn't have been serving. It's just a safety issue for the public. -
water issue. these units have separate water systems (like rv's) and self contained to handle thier load.
I have tried them and have no issue. I have tried resturuants and had issues. Keep my ice cream music truck!! He about due to arrive, eh?
KS--where is kb's??? i would like to go there in a day or two.

I was wondering when someone was going to bring government into the discussion. Hey butwiser, why do we need the health department to get involved? If you are worried about the safety of the food then don't eat it. It's as simple as that. Welcome to the free market. Permits are unnecessary.

Butwiser, I thought the same thing, but if you go and visit you will see there is nothing to worry about. They do a stand up job.

Kenneth- Who is trying to hurt KB's? That place is fantastic and the owner (I guess the same guy you mentioned) is a HUGE sweetheart. Horsewhippin...agreed. Everybody go check out KB's too!!! -
I don't want to rain on anyone's parade, but I am curious how these vendors meet the health codes. They do not have sanitary sewers, fresh running water and such, but they are not mobile. The stands are permanent "temporary" locations. The lack of fresh water for hand washing would shut down any normal restaurant. Are we going to start seeing these stands all over town much like the portable advertising signs of the past? Again, not an attack, just a concern.

Cool story Victoria Advocate. Welcome to America Mr&Mrs Ortiz thank you for following code and getting a permit.I live on a border town where competition would be fierce we have hotdog and hamburger stands here too, but Victoria is still my home town.Small business like vendors help keep money flowing on the local community level.
