The final day of team

The final day of team competition in the 4th Annual Victoria City Open Tournament generated big scores in two divisions with new leaders being crowned at the Century Lanes.
The biggest score was posted by the team, "Where's Randy", in Div 1 with all five bowlers being consistent to take the title with a handicap score of 3,514.
Jesse Guerra led the team with a 723 set to bolt past MFP, who had taken the lead during the morning squad. Kenneth Schupbach and Darren Blohm also broke the 700 mark with scores of 714 and 702 respectively. Also contributing were team members Abel Garcia 691 and Mark Gonzales 684.
MFP won second place money with their score of 3,456. Richard Thompson led the team with a nice 717 and 798 handicap total. Other team members and scores were Pedro Alva (707), David Haeber (659), Joey Matson (664), and Mark Pahmiyer (628).
There were no leader changes in Div 2 with Alternator Starter and Service (3,437), maintaining the lead to win the title. Team members and individual scores were Chris Martinka (820), John Cavazos (724), Joe Rodriguez (610), Mike Osterson (632), and Mike Stacy (651).
The team "Pay Me" wrapped up second place money with their score of 3,307. Team members and scores are Travis Arnold (781), Ramon Verduzco (673), Kevin Irragi (657), Jamar Bryant (655), and Victor Thomas (536). The Brew Crew won third place money with a score of 3,302. Team members are Shirley Simper (717), Jordan Glass (708), Roger Dixon (676), David Glass (614), and Bruce Hammack (560).
The "Good Olde Boys" won the Div 3 team title with a score of 3,212, posted last week. Team members and individual scores are Arnold Scheffer (779), Marvin Janak (679), V.A. Stovall (620), William Klacman (610), and John Schmidt (524).
The "Laligagers" (3,200) made a run at the top spot but were unable to catch the senior bunch and settled for second place money.
Team members are Eric Smith (746), Donald Padgett (685), Rick Bassano (614), Virgil Chesney (582), and Ronald Padgett (573).
With the team event winners being decided, the singles, doubles, all events, and City Champion still need to be determined with action slated for the Woodlawn Bowling Center. Defending city champion Joey Matson has not completed his all events yet.
