Ranging Reporter Erica Rodriguez was in Victoria and Edna today talking with residents about their thoughts. Here's what you all had to say:

A: "I don't think they should limit salt, that's what gives the food the flavor."

Janice Acosta, Victoria resident, cosmetologist

A: "At restaurants, I think they should because people that have diabetes or high blood pressure, they have to watch their salt intake and they have a problem going out to eat."

Esperanza Suarez, Victoria resident, licensed vocational nurse

A: "I don't think the government has any business in what we eat. They're trying to take away all your freedoms."

Elaine Hart, Edna resident, disabled

A: "You must have salt to live, and how much you intake shouldn't be regulated by the government."

Joe B. Hubbell, Edna resident, retired
