Buffalo Bills hire Darrell Moody as national scout

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - Darrell Moody has been hired by the Buffalo Bills and appointed their national scout.

Moody joins the Bills after spending the past eight seasons as a Southeast region scout for the San Diego Chargers. Moody previously spent 31 years coaching at the college and high school ranks.

He is reunited with general manager Buddy Nix, who previously worked with the Chargers.

The team also announced Matt Hand has been promoted to an area scout, overseeing the midwest. C.J. Leak, brother of former Florida quarterback Chris Leak, will replace Hand as Buffalo's BLESTO scout after spending the past two years as a pro personnel assistant.
