A Navy plane is towed by a Victoria Regional Airport employee Friday afternoon. The plane touched down after the pilot reported engine trouble.

A Navy plane made an emergency landing at Victoria Regional Airport on Friday evening.

At 5:54 p.m. the airport received a call of an in-flight emergency and emergency responders were called out, said Ron Pray, Victoria County fire marshal.

The Navy King Aircraft was towed to a hangar to be inspected.

"There was no fire or problems when they landed," Pray said.

The pilot boarded another Navy plane that was flying with it and left the airport.

No further information was provided.

The Navy did not return phone calls seeking additional information.
