The pay is not so great and the hours are long, but many people will tell you it's one of the best jobs in the world.
It's motherhood, and Sunday's the day to give Mom a bit of recognition.
But what's the best part of being a mother? And what do kids appreciate most about the woman who's always there with a hug, a kiss and a peanut butter sandwich?
Q: What do you like most about being a mom?
The love they give you. You'll never love your kids like you love anybody else.
It's wonderful to be a mom. It's one of the most wonderful things you can do, besides being married. It's a smile, a hug, someone to be there with you.
I stay busy with them. Every day we're at soccer practice, things like that.
Q: What do you love most about your mom?
She always takes care of me and does stuff for me. She's really just a great mom.
Sometimes she takes me to the zoo or the park. And she goes on field trips with me at school. We have lots of fun.
She's pretty and she's a good cook. I like it when she makes enchiladas.
